This is a U.S. Army M-1936 Musette Bag.

It has a U.S. stencil.

Color: Olive Drab

Material: Cotton Canvas

Height: Approx. 30cm
Width: Approx. 28.5cm
Depth: Approx. 14cm

Please refer to photos 10-13 for measurements taken with a measuring tape.

This bag appears in the 1940s American film Twelve O'Clock High starring Gregory Peck.

It's also the bag that the tough sergeant in the movie Saving Private Ryan used to carry a can filled with Normandy sand.

It can be used as a shoulder bag, but it can also be used as a backpack by attaching the two straps on the back to the D-rings of suspenders.
There is a flap-covered pocket on the side that closes with a button.
The inside of the bag has dividers and pockets.
The front has a U.S. stencil!
When you open the front flap, you'll find a stencil with the manufacturer and year (photo 16).

The straps in photos 14 and 15 were not included with the purchase, so I bought them separately. I believe they are from a similar era.

Photo 17 shows a hole in the lower right front corner.

Photo 18 shows a hole and an oil stain-like mark in the middle.

Photo 19 shows rust on the metal parts (there is also rust, dirt, etc. in other places).

This is a real military used item. There may be holes, fading, sun damage, weaving damage, storage stains, dirt, odor, etc. The color may also differ from the actual product due to the photos. I have tried to include as much of the noticeable damage as possible, but there may be other damage. The information I have gathered online is from an amateur, so there may be errors. Please purchase only if you can judge from the images and understand these points.
